James T. "Tommy" Legans

Mr. James Thomas “Tommy” Legans, age 72, of Dukedom, TN died Sunday, November 16, 2014 at his residence.

He was of the Baptist faith and had been the shop foreman for the
Weakley County Highway Department for 46 years. He was a veteran of
the U.S. Marine Corps and had lived in this area all of his life.

He is survived by two sisters Kathie Adkins and Gale Mansfield, both
of Dukedom, TN and two brothers Ronald E. "Cotton" Legans of Martin,
TN and Billy Joe Legans (Dien) of Leesville, LA, four nieces and six
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Isabelle (Robertson) and
Ervin Legans, a brother Harold Legans, and a niece Mechelle Dew.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at the JACKSON FUNERAL HOME with burial to follow in the Lee Harris Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Jackson Funeral Home from 5-8 pm on Tuesday after 9 am Wed. until the funeral hour.
