James Samuel McKinney

May 22, 1924 — December 12, 2008

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fulton, KY. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII. He worked as an engineer
for the Union Carbide Plant in Paducah, KY for 29 years and also was a professor at the University of TN at Martin where he taught engineering. He had lived in South Fulton, TN all of his life.

He is survived by a son, Ronnie McKinney (Scarlett) of South Fulton, TN., a daughter, Christina Kelly (Frank) of Lake Zurich, IL., eight grandchildren,
Jessica, Matthew, and Haley McKinney all of South Fulton, TN., Laura and Brian Kelly both of Lake Zurich, IL., Patrick Kelly of Denver, CO., Jennifer Howard of Woodstock, GA., and Heather Ciaglia of Barrington, IL., and two great grandchildren, Avery Ciaglia of Barrington, IL., and Tyler Howard of Woodstock, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee and Lela Mae (Milner) McKinney and three brothers Robert, Gene, and Harry McKinney.

Funeral services for James McKinney will be held at 2PM Sunday in our funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Greenlea Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home after 1PM Sunday until the funeral hour.
