James C. "Cap" Maynard

October 29, 1921 — April 5, 2009

Mr. Maynard died April 5, 2009 at the Union City Manor Nursing Home
where he had been residing.

He was a member of the House of Prayer in Fulton, KY and was a
veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. He had retired from the former Reelfoot Packing Company in Union City, TN with 18 years of service as a sanitaton engineer. He was also a member of the Disabled Veterans of America. He had also lived in Hickman,KY and Union City, TN.

He is survived by 2 sons and daughters in law James F. and Helen Maynard of Arlington, KY and Hubert E. and Betty A. Maynard of South Fulton, TN and a daughter and son in law Caroline and Joe Davis of Dyersburg, TN; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Casalyene (Stewart) Maynard,
his parents David and Zella (DeHart) Maynard, a daughter Shirley Ann Maynard Dalton, 6 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, April 8. 2009 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral hour.
