Mr. James A. Hooper of Union City passed away Saturday
at The Waters in Union City, TN.
James was born in Obion County on October 26, 1927 to
the late Arthur Hooper and Annie Nichols Hooper.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in
Fulton and a long time Sunday School teacher. James was retired
from Gibson County Electric, he was a lifelong resident of Obion
County, TN. and also a farmer.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Cathy Hooper of
Wichita, KS., a grandson, Travis Hooper of Wichita,
KS and two great grandchildren, Lexie and Morgan Hooper
of Wichita, KS.
James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alma
McCorkle Hooper, a son, Tommy Hooper, and a brother,
Thomas Gardner.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at Obion
County Memorial Gardens. Friends may meet at the cemetery
at the service hour.
