James Seay "Jim" Hodges

January 6, 1931 — November 20, 2021

James Seay ”Jim” Hodges of Columbia, TN and formerly of South Fulton passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at The Bridge at Columbia.


James was born on January 6, 1931 in Fulton, KY to the late Sam Hodges and Ruth P. Hodges Thompson.


He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired builder.


He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fulton, KY, where he served as an ordained deacon. He resided in South Fulton, TN most of his life.


James was survived by his daughter, Deborah Hodges (Mike) Fenwick of Columbia, TN, two grandchildren, Courtney Fenwick (Alexander) Goodman of Columbia, TN and James Michael (Jennifer) Fenwick of Gunnison, CO, three great grandchildren, William, Clayton and Lillian Goodman of Columbia, TN.


He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Charlene R.


Hodges of 62 years, a sister, Nell Hodges and half brother, Frank Hodges.


Funeral services will be held at 12Noon Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in our funeral chapel with burial to follow at Obion County Memorial Gardens with military honors held at graveside.


Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:30 AM Tuesday until the hour of service.
