James Elmo Callis

Mr. James Elmo Callis, age 78, of Martin, TN died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Van Ayer Healthcare in Martin, TN.

He was a member of the Mt Pelia Baptist Church and was a repairman
for the General Telephone Company and Frontier Communications. He
lived in the Martin all of his life.

Mr. Callis is survived by three sons; Jimmy Wayne (Julie) Callis, Stephen Glenn Callis and Scott Neil Callis all of Martin, TN, four grandchildren; Justin Scott (Lisa) Callis, Jada Lynn (Drew) Cunningham all of Knoxville, TN, Zach Scott Callis of South
Carolina, Ashton Scott Callis of Bowling Green, KY, one great grandchild Nellie Kate Cunningham of Knoxville, TN, a sister Marilyn Dallas of Nashville, TN and a very special friend Melba Garner of Martin, TN.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Faye Potts Callis and his parents James Elmo Callis, Sr and Nellie Mae Johnson Callis.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday at the Mt Pelia Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Eastside Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Mt Pelia Baptist Church from 5-8PM Friday and from 11AM Saturday until the funeral hour.
