James Denton of Fulton, KY passed away Thursday, April 21,
2022 at his residence.
James was born on January 11, 1941 in Mineola, Texas to the late
I. A. Denton and Louise Billie "Rumbelow" Denton.
He was a member and deacon at Fulton First Baptist Church.
James was married to Lynn Taylor Denton on May 28, 1963.
He lived in Texas for many years before moving to this area. He was
a retired broiler grower for Tyson Foods/Duo-Fast in Conrad, Texas.
James was a member of the Fulton Lions Club, substitute Sunday
School teacher at FBC and a member of Gideons International.
James is survived by his wife of 58 years; Lynn Denton of Fulton, KY,
two daughters, Becky (Mark) Lister of Martin, TN and Tina Bleocher
of Trenton, TN, five grandchildren, Grant (Katie) Bloecher of Trenton,
TN, Josh (Alyna) Bloecher of Trenton, TN, Brittany (Jonathan) Burnette
of Union City, TN, Tori (Zac) Willis of Paducah, KY and Ryan Harper
of Denver, CO, eleven great grandchildren; Eva, Henry, Benjamin and
Luke Bloecher of Trenton, TN, John, Jack and Peter Bloecher of
Trenton, TN, James and Daniel Burnett of Union City, TN, Harper
Willis and Roman Willis of Paducah, KY, a brother David
(Beverly) Denton of Denton, TX and a nephew, Scott Denton of
Aubrey, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Elliott Denton and
a brother, Don Denton.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, April 30, 2022, in
our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial
Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9AM
Saturday until the hour of service.
