James Arthur Choate

September 24, 1916 — June 3, 2008

He was a member of the South Fulton Methodist Church and had been a plumber for the former Stanley Jones Corporation. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He had lived in this community most of his life and had also lived in Waverly, TN.

He is survived by a daughter- Linda McWhorter of Clinton KY; A son - James L.Choate of Union City TN, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife- Margaret (Matheny) Choate,
his parents - John Martin and Bessie Lue (Castleman) Choate, a daughter - Ann Marie Ring, 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers - Morris Choate & Ernest
Choate and 2 sisters - Grace Rice and Minnie Grissom.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton, KY. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends may meet at the cemetery for services. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
