James "Jimmy" Blincoe

Mr. James “Jimmy” Blincoe passed away at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY on Saturday, November 3, 2018.

He was born in Hickman, KY on October 31, 1941. Jimmy was an avid fisherman and hunter. He worked on the river nearly all of his life and retired as a riverboat pilot. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Union City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. “Chan” Blincoe and Lola (Grissom) Blincoe; his second wife, Evelyn Blincoe; son, James Randall Blincoe, and one sister Rosemary Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Blincoe of Hickman;  sons, Ricky Dale (Rose) Blincoe and Ronnie Glen (Debbie) Blincoe  both of Covington, TN; daughter Margaret L. Blincoe of Hickman, KY; sister Judith Culp of Hickman, KY; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 nieces, and 1 nephew.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Uzzle and Rev. Henry Callison officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Strong Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Steve Danielson, Cory Wilharm, Sr., Cody Erwin, Ken Roach, Mickey Petty, and Burl Darnell.
