James Authur Anderson

Mr. James Authur Anderson, 83, of Hickman, KY passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at his residence. 

Mr. Anderson was born in Fulton County, KY on December 16, 1937.  His parents, Roy E. Anderson and Ethel (McKenzie) Anderson, his brother, Charles Anderson and sisters, Maxine Cooper and Caroline Jones preceded him in death.

Mr. James had worked on the river most of his life. He retired as Captain for the river transportation division of the AEP Company. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Faye (Riley) Anderson of Hickman, KY, son, Phillip Anderson of Hickman, KY, daughters, Teresa Anderson Amberg and Julie Vowell, both of Hickman, KY and Cynthia Whitman of Water Valley, KY, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Strong Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Lambert officiating. The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 5th from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
