Jack Haddad

October 11, 1927 — December 27, 2014

Mr. Jack Haddad, 87, of South Fulton, TN went to be with Our Lord on
December 27, 2014. He was a true servant of The Lord and loved being of service to everyone he encountered.

He retired from ICG Railroad in 1988. He was a Switchman and also the Local Chairperson of the United Transportation Union for several years. In 1950 he worked for a construction company, FH McGraw, building the USEC plant in Paducah, KY. He served our country proudly in the US Army from November 1945 in Fort Lee, Virginia until April 1947. His brother, Mitchell, had given the ultimate sacrifice and died at The Battle of Iwo Jima in 1945. He was a proud member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fulton, KY since 1965. He was a previous member of the Finance Committee, an usher, a lector, grounds committee member, and a member of The Knights of Columbus where he was very active in the fish fries and all other charitable and service events with the Knights. He love being outdoors and using his hands to build anything.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Theresa Simon Haddad, to whom he was extremely devoted, his parents Tom and Nellie Haddad, and a sister Flora Jean Haddad.

He is survived by his brother Sammy Haddad and wife Dorothy of South Fulton, TN, his three daughters Lori Meredith and husband Michael of Paducah, KY, Christy Atwill and husband Craig of Union City, TN, and Jackie Parr and husband Carlos of Milan, TN, his brother in law and sister in law George and Marilue Simon of
St. Louis, MO, and many nieces and nephews. He was also extremely devoted to his grandchildren who lovingly called him "GoGo" and they are Michael, Josh, Luke, Emily, and Jaclyn Meredith, and Matthew, Austin, and Clare Atwill and Jack, Sam, Kate, Ben, and Jane Parr.

Funeral mass will be at 11AM Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fulton, KY with burial to follow in the Greenlea Cemetery. A rosary service will be held at 10AM on Tuesday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, KY. Visitation will be at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel Monday, December 29, 2014 from 4pm-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Edwards Catholic Church, 504 Eddings Street, Fulton, KY 42041.
