Harry Dean White

June 15, 1933 — January 10, 2019

Harry Dean White, U.S. Navy retired, age 85, of Fulton, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Born in Beelerton, Kentucky on June 15, 1933, he was one of thirteen children.

Harry was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam conflicts receiving the National Defense Medal and Bronze Star respectively. He later served as Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class on the USS John F. Kennedy (CVA 67).

Following his retirement from the Navy in 1971, he settled in Fulton, Kentucky and became a member of the Fulton City Police Department eventually serving as Captain. Later, Harry served as a Deputy Sheriff for Fulton County.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh C. White, six brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rosalba; daughter Paula (Rob) Wagner and son Patrick (Sarah) White both of Germantown, Tennessee; sister Janette Bradley of South Fulton, Tennessee; grandchildren Jonathan, William and Caroline Wagner and Sofia, Isabella, Luca and Giovanna White all of Germantown, Tennessee and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. 

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Monday, January 14, 2019 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Fulton, Kentucky with burial to follow at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Reverend Robert Drury will officiate.

Visitation will be at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Sunday, January 13, 2019.
