Gerald Harris

Mr. Gerald Love Harris, age 79, of Hickman, KY passed
away Monday, June 12, 2023 at his residence surrounded 
by his family. 

He was born on September 30, 1943 in Hickman,
KY to the late Luther Andrew Harris and Mildred 
Love Harris.

Gerald was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church 
and was a United States Army veteran where he served
in Vietnam. He received the Certificate of Achievement 
Award for meritorious service. He was a member of the 
American Legion Post 57, Aubrey Townsend Post member, 
Otho French Strahl Camp 176. Gerald had worked for 
Case Tractor, U.S. Corps of Engineers (Memphis District), 
Hickman Hardware, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, 
and Harris Tractor Service since 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Cecilia Bacon Harris, whom
he married August 5, 1967, three daughters: Laura Diane Harris
(Patrick) Warner of Franklin, TN, Cynthia "Cindy" Lynn Harris 
(Dan) Harrison of Madeira Beach, FL and Mary Carolyn "Mary
Carol" Harris of London, England, a granddaughter Emily Elizabeth
Warner of Franklin,TN, six sisters: Maureen Harrison of Hickman, 
KY, June Roberts of Hickman, KY, Vickie Etheridge of Ellicott,
MD, Pamela Fay Wyman of Hickman, KY, Debbie Kay Ward 
of Hickman, KY and Cheryl Lunsford of Union City, TN and a 
brother, Gary Harris of Fisherville, KY.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers: Rodger 
Harris, Roy Leon Harris and Kelly Ray Harris and a sister, Shelly Wheeler.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. 
Visitation will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 6-8PM 
Wednesday. Friends may call after 10AM Thursday until the hour of service. 

Pallbearers will be: Elvis Mayes, Sam Linder, Patrick Linder, Patrick Warner,
Dan Harrison, Buddy Amberg, Doug Roberts, Chuck Murphy, Chad Harrison,
and Lee Lunsford.
