George A. Jones

Mr. George A. Jones, age 81, of the Cayce community passed away Wednesday,
March 27, 2019 at the Clinton Place Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mr. Jones was born on September 6, 1937 in Fulton County, KY to the
late John C. and Doris Pewitt Jones. He was a member of the Cayce United
Methodist Church and worked for the former Reelfoot Packing Company for
36 years. He was also the owner and operator of the Jones Grocery in Cayce, KY
and worked for the Kentucky State Highway Department then becoming a Safety
and Health Inspector. Mr. Jones served as Fulton County Magistrate District 2 for
12 years. He lived most of his life in Fulton County.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Carolyn Elam Jones, whom he married
December 26, 1964, a daughter Missy (Bubba) Harrison and one grandson
Tyler Harrison all of Fulton, KY.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Janie McCord.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday in our funeral chapel with burial
to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the
funeral home from 5-8PM Thursday and after 8AM Friday until the hour of service.
