William "Gary" Stem, 70, of South Fulton, TN went peacefully
to the Lord on the evening of February 11, 2023 at Baptist
Health of Paducah, KY.
Gary was born on June 11, 1952 to William Gordon "Billy"
Stem and Hattie Mozell Isbell.
He grew up on the family farm with his beloved grandparents,
Buddy and Mama Iris. Gary was a 1971 graduate of South Fulton
High School. He then continued his life in agriculture by working
at Browder Grain Company followed by Reams Farms, where he
continued his 30+ year career.
Throughout his life, Gary has also been a carpenter. He loved
woodworking, and he gifted many cherished items to his family
and friends. Gary was a member of Walnut Grove Church. He
dearly loved his family, friends, and people of the
community. Many folks knew him as, "Paw Paw."
Gary was preceded in death by many family members, including
his grandparents- Buddy and iris Stem, parents- William Gordon
"Billy" Stem and Hattie Mozell Isbell, three sisters- Mabel
Hicks, Sue Workman, and Sandy Stem, an aunt- Virginia
"Dinky" Smithson, a grandson-Keiden Campbell, and a dear
old friend- Tommy Hooper.
Gary is survived by his wife of 41 years- Lisa Campbell Stem,
children- Cody Stem, Heather Campbell, Samirae Campbell,
and Alison (Josh) Clement, grandchildren- Madison
Puckett, Kingston Walsh, Jaxon Campbell and Ada Clement.
Memorial services will be held at Walnut Grove Church in South Fulton, TN
on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 3PM. Visitation will be held at the church from
1PM Sunday, February 19, 2023 until the hour of service.
