Gary Jez

Mr. Gary Jez of South Fulton, TN passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on December 27, 1951, in Jackson, MI to the late Edward Jez and Virginia Miskowski Jez.

Gary was a member of the St. Edward Catholic Church and retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, TN. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus, and the Fulton-South Fulton Lions Club. Gary was surrounded by many loved ones at the time of his passing, this goes to show how loved he was due to his kind and caring heart. Who has not only been that way to loved ones, but also touching the hearts of strangers. He will always be remembered by his willing to help others in need. 

He is survived by his wife, Sonia "Sunny" Jez, whom he married February 19, 2010, his children: Shannon (Darren) Wilson of Wingo, KY, John Luck of Martin, TN, Jeremy (Nikki) Jez of South Fulton, TN and Heather (Scott) Miller of Dyersburg, TN; eleven grandchildren, Keegan (Hailey) Brown of Cape Girardeau, MO, Jacob Brown of Dyersburg, TN, Elise (Eli) Crider of Louisville, KY, Morgan Jez of Murray, KY, James Pergande of South Fulton, TN, Peyton (Adam) Riley of Mayfield, KY; Autumn, Layla, Emma Luck all of Martin, TN, Megan (McKenzie) Saltsman of Paducah, KY and Destiny Brown of Clarksville, KY, six great-grandchildren, Silas, Sawyer and Charlotte Riley all of Mayfield, KY, Brody, Amelia and Kennedy Saltsman all of Paducah, KY; two sisters, Janet (Chris) Leroy and Cathie (Frank) Phillips of Jackson, MI and a brother, Daniel (Nancy) Jez of Michigan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Jez and David Jez and sister, Sharon Jez.

A memorial mass for Mr. Gary Jez will be held at 1PM Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at St. Edward Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Greenlea Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel-Fulton from 11AM Tuesday until 12:30PM.
