Mr. Gary E. Bennett age 84, of South Fulton passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the ICF in Clinton Kentucky. Gary was born on July 24, 1940, in Hickman County, KY, to the late Raymond and Allene "Clark" Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church. 

Mr. Bennett proudly served in the United States National Guard from 1958 until 1964. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and University of Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan. Mr. Bennett retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City as the shipping supervisor.

Mr. Gary Bennett is survived by his wife Libby "Lovelace" Bennett to whom he married in 1988. Additionally, he is survived by a son Garrett (Lori) Bennett of Smyrna, TN, one Step - Daughter Beth Foster of Dyersburg, TN, his grandchildren; Grayson Bennett and Reagan Bennett of Smyrna, TN, Tyler Godec of Tampa Florida and Ashley Foster of Dyersburg, TN one brother, Don (Jean) Bennett of Murray, KY.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his first wife Mrs. Judy (Harrison) Bennett, a daughter Natalie Godec and one brother Mr. Joe Bennett.

Funeral services for Mr. Bennett will be held on Saturday August 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM in our funeral chapel. Dr. Ron Cox and Bro. Dean Doster will officiate with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Mr. Gary Bennett will be held on Saturday from 11:00AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be sent to St. Jude at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105-9959
