Gardner Lee "Doc" Bennett

December 28, 1912 — October 23, 2006

He was of the Methodist faith and he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy
having served in World War II. He had been an employee of the former Highland Lumber Company in Fulton, KY and he had lived in this area most of his life.

He is survived by his wife -Gertrude Cape Bennett of South Fulton, TN,whom he married January 21, 1939. 2 daughters - Marietta Hardy of South Fulton, TN and Lutrecia Stephens of High Ridge, MO, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents- Gertie (Breeden) and Homer M. Bennett, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday,October 25,2006 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with burial in the Obion Co. Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and anytime Wednesday until the funeral hour.
