Fred Collier

January 9, 1925 — February 19, 2015

Mr. Fred Collier, age 90, of Fulton died Thursday morning, February 19,2015 at his residence.

He was a founding member and former elder of the Smith Street Church
of Christ and was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II. He
was a brakeman for the Illinois Central Railroad and was also a retired farmer. He had lived in this area all of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Barbara McAlister Collier of Fulton,KY, three sons and daughters in law Bobby Collier (Rosa) Glenwood Springs,CO, Kelly Collier (Jeannie) Knoxville, TN and Wes Collier (Tina) South Fulton,TN, two daughters and sons in law Sally Floyd (Robert) Water Valley, KY and Mary Lynn Cooley (Russell) of Fulton, KY; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a sister Joan Dowdy of South Fulton,TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Dean Collier and Mary Lorelle Boaz Collier.

Funeral service will be 11 am on Monday, Feb. 23 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel and interment will be in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Sunday and anytime after 8 am Monday until the funeral hour.
