Mrs. Evelyn Coffey Burcham, age 89, of Hickman, KY died
December 3, 2013 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.
She was a homemaker and had been a member of the First Baptist Church
in Hickman, KY for the past 57 years; was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to sing for weddings, funerals, special events and to write poems. She lived most of her life in Hickman, KY.
She is survived by one son Dennis (Quretha) Coffey of Hickman, KY,
one daughter Bonnie Poynor of Hickman, KY, four grandchildren; Keith Poynor of Tampa, FL, Kristi Looney of Paducah, KY, Rob Coffey of Hickman, KY, Brenna Ray of Union City, TN, five great grandchildren; Taylor Looney, Lauren Looney both of Paducah, KY, Jack Poynor,Jaynie Poynor both of Tampa, FL, Stowe Ray of Union City, TN, a special friend Wilburn Allen of Fulton, KY and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Stowe L. Coffey and Elbert Burcham Jr., her parents William Emanuel Martin and Ardeth Louise Wheatley Glasner, one brother William Emanuel Martin Jr. and a sister Patty Jo Fish.
Funeral services have been rescheduled for 2 pm Tuesday, December 10 at the First Baptist Church in Hickman and interment in the Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 am Tuesday until the funeral hour.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 205 East Moulton Street,Hickman, KY 42050.
