He was a former waiter for the Illinois Central Railroad Dining Car & a meat cutter for the National Food Store, Dell Farm Food Store, A.C. Butts
Grocery, Jimmy Gilbert's Market & Jimmy's Market. He was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where he had been Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant Financial Clerk, Musican in the Choir, deacon,& trustee.

He is survived by his wife whom he married in 1946, Lovenia "Love"
Hilliard Williams of Fulton,KY; sons - George (Mike) Williams of Chicago,IL, Gary Vaughn of Pittsburgh, CA, Gary (Tucker) Smith of South Fulton,TN,
George Eric Williams and Melvin Williams of Detroit, MI, son & daughter in law - Julian & Jacqueline Williams of Chicago, IL ; daughters-LaWanda Miller of LaGrange, GA, Linda Goodwin of Hazelcrest,IL, Yvette Williams -Fulton, KY; daughter & son-in-laws, Sandre & Warren Ballentine of Chicago,IL, Janice & Henderson Mason - Chicago, IL &
Shelia Ann & John Appleton of Chicago,IL. 31 grandchildren and
several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents- Emanuel & Mary Edwards
Williams, 1 son- Wilbert Williams, 2 brothers-Henry & Willie James Williams, sisters - Nancy C. Coleman & Lillie Belle Williams Moore, a daughter - Barbara Lois Williams.
