E. K. Jones

February 8, 1918 — December 6, 2006

He was a former farmer and heavy equipment operator. He had
been employed by Argo-Collier Truck Lines for 30 years as a dispatcher. He moved to the Martin,TN area in 1946 and then to Fulton,KY. in 1964. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WW II where he was a Grade 4
Technician in the 997th Field Artillary Batallion. He was a member of the Sandy Branch Primitive Baptist church in Martin,TN, was a member
of the Martin Rotary Club and the American Legion Post #72 in Fulton,KY.

He is survived by 4 grandchildren, Leslie Whitesell and husband, Robin
of Fulton, KY, Laura Zabaski and husband, Pete of Nashville,TN,
Leigh Ann Moore and husband, Hoyt of So. Fulton,TN and Lynn
McAlister Baker and husband Brian of Olive Branch Mississippi as well
as 8 great grandchildren and 16 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Mark Jones
and Aradney Laster Jones, his wife, Vivian Brown Jones in 1996
and daughter, Joan McAlister Thompson in 2000, 4 brothers
and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the Harmony Church at 2 pm Sunday and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Jones will be from 12 noon Sunday until the funeral hour.
