Dr. Jack Acree died Saturday morning, December 8 at his home.
He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Martin TN and was a retired minister and Bible Professor at the Mid-Continent University in Mayfield KY. He had served as minister at the First Baptist Church in Fulton KY, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Lowes KY, Pleasant Valley
Missionary Baptist Church in Benton KY, First Baptist Church
in Cimarron NM and Mt. Sinai in Erin TN. He was also a past member of the Fulton Rotary Club, Mentoring Program at Fulton City High School, and Twin City Ministerial Alliance. He had lived in Lowes KY for seven
years and had lived in this area since 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Shelly Acree of Fulton KY, two daughters, Charissa Acree of Louisville KY, Jaclyn Acree of Huntsville AL, a son, Charles Acree of Arlington KY, three sisters, Cheryl Smith of
Olathe KS, Sandra Lopeman of Garnett KS, Kathy Alford of Houston TX, two brohers, Robert Acree of Hartford KS, Randy Acree of Tucson AZ, seventeen nieces and nephews and his parents Clyde and Nola (Cary) Acree of Hartford KS.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8PM Monday. The body will lie in state at the church after 10AM Tuesday until the service hour.
Memorials may be made to the Mid-Continent University, Dept. of Bible Studies & Theology, 99 East Powell Rd., Mayfield KY 42066.
