Dorothy Wade Lowery

Mrs. Dorothy Wade Lowery, age 92, of Hickman, KY passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Obion County Nursing Home in Union City, TN.

She was born on October 17, 1929 in St. Louis, MO to the late Ralph Wade and Naoma Pewitt Vick.

Mrs. Dorothy was a member of the Cayce United Methodist Church and worked for the former Friendly Finance and Hickman Federal Savings and Loans. She retired as a manager of Security Trust in Hickman and lived most of her life in the Cayce and Hickman area.

She is survived by a daughter Quretha (Dennis) Coffey of Hickman, KY, two grandchildren; Rob Coffey of Hickman, KY and Brenna (Thomas) Ray of Union City, TN, three great-grandchildren; Stowe Edward Ray, Sonny Thomas Ray and Sammy Dean Ray all of Union City, TN, a half brother James Vick of Salem, MO

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Robert "Sonny" Lowery, her step-father, Damon Vick and a half sister June Franklyn.

The family wants to thank Mrs. Dorothy's extended family at the Obion County Nursing Home, she loved each and everyone there.

Graveside services will be held at 3PM Wednesday in the Cayce Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
