Donna McConnell

Ms. Donna McConnell of Martin, TN passed away at her home, Reed Hill Farm, following an extended illness.  She was the daughter of the late H. Clay McConnell and Relma Reed McConnell of Martin.

Donna was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and taught high school English for many years at Killian High School in Miami, FL. where she was a mentor to many students.  Upon retirement she returned to Reed Hill Farm, the family homeplace.  After retirement she became active at Fulton First United Methodist church and Fulton Rotary Club.  She also gave much of her time to the literacy program of South Fulton.  She was an avid reader and was well known at the Martin library.

She is survived by her sons, Keith (Dani) Ross and Travis Ross, her grandchildren, Elysia Ross, Jordon Ross, Isaiah Ross, Hezeki Ross, Fallon Ross, Gavriella Ross, Travis Ross, Jr. and Britney Ross.  She is also survived by a sister, Linda Padgett and her dear friend and companion, Janet Dunker.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on June 8, 2021 at Sandy Branch Cemetery near Martin, TN.
