David Robert Eakes

David Robert Eakes , 66, of Union City TN, formerly of Hickman, KY died on September 15, 2018.

He was a self-employed logger and of Baptist faith.

David was born in the Brownsville community near Hickman on May 25, 1952 to the late J. W. Eakes and  the late Betty Jean (Duty) Eakes. 

Survivors include his son, Jason (Brandy) Eakes of Gulf Shores, AL, daughters, Lee Ann Scarborough (Jeremy McCoy) of Martin, Kayla Hrachovina of Union City, brother, James (Debbie) Eakes of Union City, sisters, Barbara Gordon of Fulton, KY, Pamela (Damon) Shore of Union City, Jenny Morris (Michael McFarland) of Fulton and Annell (Jerry) Merrell of South Fulton; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Betty Eakes of Union City.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Callison officiating.  Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until service time on Thursday.  Burial will be at a later date in the Eastview Cemetery in Union City.
