Daniel Ross Evans

Mr. Daniel Ross Evans, 84, of Hickman passed away on February 6, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah.

He was of Baptist faith and had worked many years as a fork lift operator in Chicago for the river transportation industry.  Mr. Evans was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his son, Rodney Evans of Mayfield, daughter, Linda Evans of Hickman and grandchildren, Daniel Roberts and Ricky Evans. 

Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents, James Herman and Jessie Evans, wife, Wanda Lou (Russ) Evans and sister, Mary Bateman.

Funeral services will be at Strong Funeral Home on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Henry Callison officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be:  Jonathan Crafton, Brent Dial, William Pate, Jr., Lynn Busby, Beau Simmons, Daniel Roberts, Charles Roberts and Edward Joe Roberts.  Honorary pallbearers:  William “Corky” Hodge, Shaun Vowell, Michael Craddock and Karey Bateman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9^th at Strong Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
