Curtis Hancock

d. December 13, 2022

Mr. Curtis Hancock, age 76, of Fulton, KY passed
away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at his residence.

Curtis Hancock was a loving husband, Dad, Pappaw,
and friend. He is survived by his wife, Mary Fields
Hancock, his children Sam Hancock (Erin) and Elizabeth
Ann Lin (Rich), his grandchildren: Bella, Mia, Brody,
Lizette, Gage and Poppy Hancock; Molly, Vivian,
Knox, and Susannah Lin. He has passed many
passions on to his family, but his love for God,
his family, and the local church are the ones
that will last far beyond this earthly life.

Curtis was a longtime active member of Fulton First
Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many
of those years. He also enjoyed his time as a high
school Sunday school teacher, Awana volunteer,
choir member, and finance committee member.

Curtis Hancock was a 7th generation farmer in
west Kentucky. He showed great support for
agriculture through leadership positions across
the industry, and was a tireless advocate for
farmers and ranchers. Curtis' leadership and
contributions to Kentucky agriculture are
unmatched, including as a former board member
of Kentucky Small Grain Growers' Association,
a former member of Hickman County Farm
Bureau, the local Southern States Cooperative,
and the Hickman County farm service agency.
He served as a longtime director and past board
chair at River Valley AgCredit in Mayfield,
Kentucky. He also served on the board and is past
chair at AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, which supports
farmers in rural communities throughout the Southeast.
Since 2003, he served on the Farm Credit Council
Board of Directors, including 2 years as chair of the
national organization.
