Mr. Clarence Douglas of Water Valley, KY died Sunday at the Parkway Regional Hospital- ER.
He was a retired farmer and had served in World War II in the Army Air Corp. He was a member of the Water Valley United Methodist Church and was a 50 year member of the Water Valley Masonic Lodge Post 756.
He was also a member of the Fulton Chapter of the American Legion. He had lived most of his life in the Water Valley (KY) community.
He is survived by 2 sons and a daughter in law - Roger Douglas of Water Valley, KY and David and Sue Douglas of Water Valley, KY and a daughter Phyllis Douglas of Nashville, TN, a grandson Zachary Crabtree of Paducah,KY and a sister - Mary Enjar of Memphis, TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife - Nadine (DePriest) Douglas, his parents - John Thomas & Lossie Ruth (Byrd) Douglas, a daughter - Linda Crabtree and 3 brothers - Lawrence Douglas, Paul Douglas and Doc Douglas.
Funeral services will be held at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 with burial to follow in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and anytime after 8 a.m. on Wednesday until the funeral hour. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
