Charlotte Terry Ivey

Mrs. Charlotte Terry Ivey, age 91, of Fulton,KY died March 24, 2013 at the William J Breman Jewish Home in Atlanta, GA.

Mrs. Ivey was the oldest member of the First United Methodist Church in Fulton, KY (86 years) and was the last member that attended the dedication of the current church building. She was a homemaker, and a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and a member of the local UK Alumni Group. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority and the Daughters of American Revolution. She was a member of the Fulton Bridge Club and had served as a former Girl Scout
Leader, She had lived in this area most of her life except for Colonel Ivey's military time.

She is survived by two sons Karl F. Ivey (Sally) of Fulton, KY and
Richard Ivey Gerrish of South Pasadena, CA and two daughters Susan Ivey Fitzgerald (Robert) of Alexandra, VA and Terry Ivey Vawter (Wes)of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lt. Richard E. Gerrish, Jr., who was killed in the Korean War and Colonel Robert Henry "Hank" Ivey, her parents Norman and Laverne (Cheek) Terry, a son Capt. Glen Ivey, who
was killed in Vietnam and a brother William Terry.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, March 28 at the First United Methodist Church in Fulton with interment in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel from 5-6:30 pm on Wednesday. Mrs. Ivey will lie in state at the First United Methodist Church from 1 pm Thursday until the funeral hour.
