Mr. Charles Holt, age 65, of Eddyville, KY and formerly of this area died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at his residence.
He was a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church and a United States Army veteran where he served in the Vietnam Era as a Captain, Helicopter Pilot and a Test Pilot. He was an active member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and a veteran of several Industry Advisory Boards. He was a South Fulton High School graduate and a 1973 UTM graduate with a B.S degree in Administration and a 1980 University of Southern California graduate with a M.S degree in Management. He was a VP of Manufacturing at International Comfort Products from 1988-2001 and a VP/GM Operations at Rheem AC Division from 2001-2014. He had lived in Clarksville, TN, Atlanta, GA, Fort Smith, Arkansas before moving to Eddyville, KY.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Gardiner Holt whom he married November 24, 1972 in McConnell, TN, two sons; Chuck Holt Jr. of Clarksville, TN and Chris Holt of Nashville, TN, a sister Sandra (Bill) Long of Manchester, TN and a niece Melissa Sartaine of Knoxville, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. James and Edna Meacham Holt, two nieces Libby Long and Denise Long Ballard, his father in law Harold "Ham" Gardiner and his mother in law Lucille Allen Gardiner.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8PM Monday.
