Celia Bockman Batts

Mrs. Celia Bockman Batts, age 86, of Fulton, KY
passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Jackson
Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

She was born on April 24, 1935 in Hickman County,
KY to the late Tyler Russell Bockman and Frances Evelyn
Byrn Bockman.

Celia was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church
and was a teacher at Shedd Academy and Montessori. She
enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and lived all of her 
life in this area. 

She is survived by her husband, Clyde Elree Batts, whom she married
April 10, 1955, a son Charles Mark (Vickie) Batts of Fulton, KY,
two daughters: Lori Kay Batts of Fulton, KY and Jill Elizabeth (Johnny)
Byassee of Clinton, KY, five grandchildren: Jason Tyler Batts of Fulton, KY,
Kevin Christopher Batts of Auburn, AL, Eric Lee Batts of Water Valley, KY
Katherine Grace Byassee of Murray, KY and Charles Nathan Byassee of 
Clinton, KY, three great-grandchildren: Ava Elizabeth Batts of Auburn, AL, 
William Walton Batts of Auburn, AL and Nora Claire Batts of Water Valley, KY and a sister, Sandra Vaughan of Fulton, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Friday, February 18, 2022 in our funeral 
chapel with burial to follow in the Wesley Cemetery. Visitation will be held at
the funeral home from 11AM Friday until the hour of service. We do ask that 
you wear a mask for the visitation and services for Mrs. Batts.
