Carolyn Fly Hill

Mrs. Carolyn Fly Hill, age 75, of Evansville, IN passed away

Thursday, September 14, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Fulton, KY on October 1, 1947 to the

Late Hugh L. Fly and Ann George Fly.

Carolyn was a member of the class of 1965 at Fulton High School.

She earned her Bachelors and Master Degrees from Murray State

University, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.

She was an educator in schools spanning the regions of Fort Campbell,

KY, Grayville, IL and Evansville, IN. She retired from Park Plaza in Evansville.

Carolyn was a volunteer tutor at the Literacy Center and taught a semester

at USI in a similar capacity. She volunteered at the Food Pantry, YMCA Shelter

for the homeless, and read to the blind on WNIN-PBS.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Michael “Dain” Hill, whom she married

October 1, 1978, two daughters: Mary Ann/Opal Fly (Mark) of Spencer, IN,

and Mychele/Jubilee Woolley (Troy) of Evansville, IN, a brother Steve (Deborah)

Fly of Fulton, KY, a nephew Michael (Heather) Fly, two great nephews: Jack

and Crew Fly all of Jacksonville, FL, her first cousins: Tommy Lynn, who

graduated with Carolyn in the FHS class of 1965 and DeeDee Lynn Biggert,

1971 graduate of FHS.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Alexander

Funeral Home, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN. Visitation will be held at the

Alexander Funeral Home from 1PM Friday, October 6, 2023 until the hour of service.

Burial will be held at a later date in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine, Iowa.
