Bobby W. McConnell

Bobby Wade McConnell, age 77, of South Fulton, TN died Tuesday, April
7, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN.


He was a member of the McConnell Baptist Church where he served as a
deacon. He worked at Robinson Grain Company in Union City before
becoming self-employed as a farmer. He served on the Farm Credit
Service Board, Obion County Farm Bureau Board, Obion County Co-op
Board. He graduated from the former Troy High School and served in the
TN National Guard out of Union City, TN.


He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Wilhaucks McConnell, his
daughters; Stephanie (Paul) Maxwell of South Fulton,
TN and Melissa (Donald) Hardin of Medina, TN; five grandchildren;
Morgan and Macy Maxwell of South Fulton, TN, Hannah Grace,
Connell Wade and Mason Hardin of Medina, TN, his brother
Johnny (Nancy) McConnell and sister-in-law Virginia Wilhaucks; his
mother-in-law Marie Wilhaucks all of South Fulton, TN and several
nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Jane (Prather) McConnell; his grandparents George B and Clara Prather and John H and Lilla McConnell, his father-in-law James "Buck" Wilhaucks and brother-in-law James Wilhaucks Jr.



Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-8PM Thursday and anytime Friday until the service hour.
