Bobby Joe Hendon

May 15, 1934 — August 18, 2018

Mr. Bobby Joe Hendon, age 84, of South Fulton, TN died Saturday, August 18,
2018 at the Diversicare of Martin.

Mr. Hendon attended the Parkway Church of Christ and was a United
States Army veteran. He was a member of the VFW in Union City, TN
and an avid basketball player. Bobby retired from General Tire where he
was a tire builder for 28 years.

He is survived by his wife Gail Cooley Hendon, whom he married October
23, 1988, a daughter Kathy Marie Hendon of Dallas, TX, three step-children;
Tony Thomas of Palm Springs, CA, Alan Ray (Deidra) Thomas of Fruitland
Park, FL, Lisa Marie (David) McGrath of Ormond Beach, FL, six grandchildren;
Alexis (Weasel) Thomas, Rae Ann Thomas, Blake Amber Thomas, Triplets;
Anne Marie, John James, David Scott McGrath,Jr, a sister Judith Kay Bonds
of South Fulton, TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Wayne and Zelna Mae Hodges
Hendon, two sisters; Norma Lou Castleman and Barbara Jean Tarkington.


Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday in our funeral chapel with burial to
follow in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral
home from 5-8PM Monday.

Southern Indiana Chapter, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans LN STE 401, Louisville, KY
