Mrs. Billie DeMyer Allen, age 89, of South Fulton, TN died 6:00 am,
Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Haws Memorial Nursing and Rehab Facility in Fulton,KY.

Mrs. Allen was a 1942 graduate of Central High School, Clinton,KY and Mayfield School of Beauty Culture, Mayfield, KY. She was the former owner of Billie's Beauty Shop in Clinton, KY; was employed at Newton's Beauty Shop in Hickman, KY and retired as bookkeeper of the Hickman-Fulton Co. Rural Electric System. She resided and raised her family on the Maple Crest Farm, Cayce, KY until moving to South Fulton,
TN in 1977. She was a faithful member of the First Christian Church,Fulton, KY and served on the board. She was a self-taught seamstress who had a flair for style. She was a gourmet cook who loved to entertain family and friends at her home and church festivities. Vegetable and flower
gardening and needlepoint were hobbies, but her joy was spending time with friends and supporting many community events. She was a member of the Senior Circle and the Red Hat Society. She was a devoted wife,mother and grandmother. She leaves many special friends who will miss
her laughter, jest for life and sweet disposition.

She is survived by a son and daughter in law Jimmy Scott DeMyer, wife Janice,Louisville, KY and two daughters Shelia DeMyer Shaw Henry of Murray,KY and Nancy DeMyer Geistweidt, husband Ted, San Antonio, TX; twelve grandchildren: Stephen Scott Shaw, wife Shon, Murray,KY, Emma Shaw Lenz, husband Steven, Hendersonville, TN, Scott DeMyer,
wife Lindsay, Atlanta, GA, Angela DeMyer Moses, husband Joe,
Southgate, KY, Lora V. Geistweidt Lowe, husband Josh, Austin, TX,
Sara V. Geistweidt Vestal, husband Ryon, Midland, TX, Susan Geistweidt,Austin, TX, William Bell, wife Dana, Frankfort, KY and Heather B. Leis,husband Craig, Louisville, KY, Don Henry,Jr. and wife Patty, Dallas, TX, Debi
Danielson, husband Robert, Murray, KY and Doug Henry and wife Dana, Murray,KY; twenty three great grandchildren,
a sister Virginia Louise Morganti Wilson, Rowlette, TX, a niece Joan L. Harper,husband Larry, Columbus, KY, two nephews Larry B. Lewis, Fulton,KY and Ronnie Morganti, Rowlette, TX and several great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Trula E. McGee and William
Lonnie Lampkin, her husbands Edward Scott DeMyer and H.P. Allen,
her sister Elsie Lewis, two son in laws Stephen R. Vaughn and Donald
Edward Henry, Sr. and a nephew Jim Ray Morganti.

Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, June 24 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1-5 pm on Sunday and after 8 am Monday until the funeral hour.
