He was a member of the Pilot Oak Church of Christ. He was a retired farmer, Elder of the Pilot Oak Church of Christ and past director of the Graves Co. Farm Bureau. He lived most of his life in this area.
He is survived by his wife Allene Yates Lowry who he married Aug. 10, 1935 of Pilot Oak, KY. 3 grandchildren-Keith Lowry , Pilot Oak, KY, Kris Lowry, Birmingham, AL, and Carmen "Suzy" Lowry of Darfar, Africa. 8 great grandchildren-Vincent Lowry of Camp Lejeune, NC, Patrick Lowry
of Pilot Oak, KY. Brooke, Drew, Wade and Sara Lynn Lowry all of Birmingham, AL, Brian McMillin of Martin, TN and Jarrod McMillin of Murray, KY. 1 great great grandson Blain Lowry, Pilot Oak, KY.,2 sisters- Mai Parrish and Mary Nell Gossum both of Tampa FL and 1 brother Richard Lowry of Tampa FL.Also a daughter-in-law-Jan Lowry of Pilot Oak, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents Burnal and Onie Lowry.
1 son- Jimmy Lowry who died June 14, 2001.
