Mrs. Betty Meacham Wade, age 89, of Collierville
and formerly from Fulton, passed away peacefully
on Wednesday, December 20.
She was born on November 6, 1934 in Fulton, KY to
the late Clarence Oliver Meacham and Martha Pearl
(Hastings) Meacham.
Betty was very active at South Fulton Baptist and later
at Faith Baptist Bartlett singing in the choir. She also
loved to play golf, tennis, bridge and read. Her favorite
activity was traveling. She and her late husband, Cecil,
spent numerous years traveling in their airplane to Mexico,
Canada and most of the states.
Betty is survived by her son, Gordon Lee Wade (Natasha)
of Martin, TN, a daughter Lynn Wade Battistelli (Greg) of
Germantown , TN, two grandchildren, Garrett Lee Wade
(Elizabeth) of Dukedom, TN and Matthew Wade Battistelli
(Jordyn) of Tuscaloosa, AL and three great grandchildren
Trenton Lee Wade and Alayna Wade of Dukedom and
Lucas Battistelli of Tuscaloosa, AL.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her
husband, Cecil Lee Wade, two brothers, James and Clifford,
one sister, Edna Holt, and one granddaughter, Erika Wade.
A memorial service for both Betty and Cecil will be held at a
later date.
