Barbara McGehee

November 26, 1943 — June 8, 2023

Mrs. Barbara Jean McGehee, age 79, of South
Fulton passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the 
NHC Franklin in Franklin, TN.

She was born on November 26, 1943 in Boliver,TN
to the late William Lenard Kiestler and Angie Lucille
Vales Kiestler.

She married Kenneth Wayne McGehee on December 3, 
1961. They lived in Union City, TN where they  
welcomed their first child, Randy.  Later they moved to 
South Fulton, TN where they welcomed their second
child, Diane and where they opened McGehee Garage.
She later also operated the Orange Blossom in Martin, 
TN with her siblings. She was an active member of 
South Fulton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children: Randy (Tatyana) 
McGehee of Cordova, TN and Diane (David) Haney
of Spring Hill, TN, three grandchildren: William Haney of 
Spring Hill, TN, Phillip Haney of Spring Hill, TN and Ryesa
McGehee of Cordova, TN, a sister Joyce Brown Kiestler of
South Fulton, TN, a brother, Jerry (Beverly) Kiestler of 
Germantown, TN, sister-in-law Janice McGehee (Harold)
Ary of Henry, TN, a niece Michelle Brown (Greg) Reddick,
three nephews: Les Ary, Nick Ary, and Jonathan Kiestler.
She is also survived by four great nieces: Ashleigh Ary Burgess, 
Brittany Ary, Tabitha Dawson Fuller & Isabella Reddick, one 
great-great niece, and one great-great nephew.  

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Monday, June 12, 2023
at the South Fulton United Methodist Church with burial to 
follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation 
will be held at the funeral home from 4-7PM Sunday. She will 
lie-in state at the South Fulton United Methodist Church from
11AM Monday until the hour of service. 

Pallbearers will be William Haney, Phillip Haney, Les Ary, Jonathan Kiestler, Russ Morrison and Greg Reddick. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lowell Grooms, Nick Ary, Lawrence Haney.
