Gene Murphey

Mr. Arlie Gene Murphey, age 93, of Water Valley, KY
 passed away on June 9, 2022 at his residence.  

He was born in Graves County, KY on October 5, 1928 to
the late John Vodie Murphey and Ima Pearl Shelby Murphey. 

Mr. Murphey was a member of the Pilot Oak Church of Christ,
was a U.S. Army Veteran and a graduate of Murray State University. 
 He was a technical engineer and had worked for Firestone Tire & 
Rubber Company and the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. 
He had lived in the Graves County area most of his life.

He is survived by two daughters Debbie Turnage (Bill) of Clarksville, 
TN and Beverly Yates (William D.) of Pilot Oak, KY, three grandchildren
Stephanie Jo Fulcher (Steve) of Lone Oak, KY, Michelle Turnage
Malkowski (Robert) of Clarksville, TN and Everett Yates of Pilot Oak,
KY and four great grandchildren Kory, Carson and Caden Fulcher and 
Kaylee Malkowski.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Janet Kay
Murphey. 

A graveside service will be held at 3PM Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Mt. 
Pleasant Cemetery in Graves Co., KY. Visitation will be held at the 
Jackson Funeral Home in Dukedom from 2PM Monday until time to leave
for the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, c/o Le Anne Green, 2548 Alton Rd, Wingo, KY 42088.
