Alex Noffel, Jr.

April 27, 1932 — October 17, 2011

Alex Noffel, Jr., 79, passed away on October 17, 2011 at the Parkway
Regional Hospital in Fulton.


He was born on April 27, 1932 to Alex Noffel, Sr. and Josephine
Haman Noffel. Alex was a lifetime resident of Fulton, he loved his home and never thought of living elsewhere. He graduated from Fulton City High School with several athletic scholarships but chose to go into the family business with his father. He ran Noffel's Department Store on Lake Street in Fulton for more than 60 years.


He was a well known and respected businessman in the community
who will be missed by many friends, family and business associates. Alex was a devout member of the First Methodist Church of Fulton, was a member of the Fellowship Class and served on the Building and Grounds Committee of the church. He was a former member of the Fulton City Council and a member of Roberts Masonic Lodge.


He is survived by his brother Jerry Noffel and his wife Martha of Mims,Florida, two nieces Alisa Noffel Laramy and husband Ron of Bloomington, Minnesota and Ann Noffel Blush of Port St. John, Florida. He is also survived by several special relatives including very close
cousins Bill and Mike Homra, of Fulton who were like brothers to him.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2PM Sunday at the Greenlea Cemetery. Rev. Bill Tate will officiate. There will be no visitation or services held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for graveside services.

Church, 200 Carr Street, Fulton, KY 42041.
