Agnes Pharis Walker

November 28, 1915 — November 12, 2014

Mrs. Agnes Pharis Walker, age 98, of Fulton,KY died 9:00 am November 12, 2014 at the Parkway Regional Hospital.

She was a member of the Mt. Zion Old Cumberland Presbyterian Church
in Water Valley, KY where she served as a Sunday school teacher and
was an Elder of the church. She had graduated from Beelerton High School and Murray Teacher College, she was an English teacher at Beelerton High School, Fulgham High School, Cayce High School, Central High School in Clinton, KY and Hickman County High School. She lived all of her life in Hickman County, KY.

She is survived by a daughter, Katie Walker (Paul) Beck of Fulton, KY and a son Dan (Sarah) Walker of Clinton, KY, four grandchildren; Cassie Beck Weig of Lexington, KY, James (Moriah) Beck of Wichita, KS, Matthew (Amberly) Walker of Murray, KY, Holly (David) Walker Clark of Brentwood, TN, three great grandchildren; Caroline Elizabeth Larkins of Murray, KY, Ethan Paul Weig of Lexington, KY, Audrey Morgan Walker of Murray, KY, four nieces; Janice Binford Sievers of Chattanooga, TN, Ann Foy Green of Mayfield, KY, Jane Foy McManus of Mayfield, KY, Sue Ellen Pharis Watson of Memphis, TN, two nephews; John Ray Pharis of Memphis, TN, James Pharis Foy of Mayfield, KY and a sister Fern Pharis Foy of Mayfield, KY.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Leslie Walker, her parents, Virgil C. and Inez May Bockman Pharis and a brother, James Almos Pharis.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 15 at 11 am in our funeral chapel with interment in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Friday.
