Ernest Calhoun

Mr. Ernest Calhoun, 88, of Hickman, KY passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN He was born in Hickman on September 28, 1928 to the late Elmer and Emma Calhoun. Mr. Calhoun was retired from the Hickman Public Works. He was a member of the First Christian Church. His survivors include his wife, Linda Calhoun of Hickman, daughters, Regina Smith of Cullman, AL, Deanna Fletcher of Hickman, Betty Adams of Martin, TN, Darlene Becherer, Doris Witt and Debbie Shylanski, all of Columbia, IL, 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Wynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Steve Fletcher, Andy Adams, Chuck Smith, Dalton Driver, Joseph Fletcher, Lee Lattus and Dillian Smith. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 15th at Strong Funeral Home from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM and again on Sunday from 12 noon until service time.
