Allene Ferrell

Mrs. Allene Ferrell, 90, of Hickman died at her residence on Monday, January 16, 2017. Funeral services for Mrs. Ferrell will be held at Strong Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Henry Callison officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Joe Ferrell, Darrell Ferrell, Frankie Bramlett, Casey Richardson, Steve Ferrell and Mikey Kirk. The family will receive visitors at Strong Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12 Noon until service time at 1:00 P.M. Mrs. Ferrell was born in Hickman on January 13, 1927. She was a member of the West Baptist Church and had been employed at the former Hickman Garment Company as a sewing machine operator. She was preceded in death by her parents, George “Jack” Phipps and Ruby (Nelson) Phipps, her husband, Edgar Ferrell, brother, Floyd Phipps and sister, Louise Roberts. Mrs. Ferrell is survived by her son, Joe Ferrell of Paducah, KY, daughter, Kathy Jones of Hickman, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
