Leslie Lee "Bud" Johnson

Mr. Leslie Lee (Bud) Johnson, 56, of Hickman died on Friday August 12, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN. Bud was born on October 18, 1959 in Hickman, KY to the late Neopolis Gilbert and Elizabeth Johnson. He worked as a farmer for Mr. Harold and Dan Rice several years before he became disabled. He was a member of New Bryant’s Chapel church. He is survived by his children: Leslie Shields of Jackson, TN, Jeffery Shields of Union City, TN, Cassandra (Willie) Vaughn of Jackson, TN, Shunita Shields of Jackson, TN; six grandchildren; siblings, Charles Johnson, Pearlie Mae Johnson, Teresa Johnson, Mae (Richard) Holloway, Lisa Smith, Leon Cobb, Charlotte Udley, Carl (Janice) Gilbert, Jackie (Elizabeth) Gilbert, Joseph Gilbert, Saddie Caldwell and Francis Chrisp all of Hickman, Robert (Jean) Johnson and Corey (Felisha) Smith both of Fulton, KY, A.D. Gilbert of Henderson, KY, Clarence (Ozella) Gilbert of Paducah, KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Bud was also preceded in death in addition to his parents by his sisters, Georgia Mae Gilbert and Loretta Sanders. Funeral services for Leslie Lee (Bud) Johnson will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. James Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. Friends may call Strong funeral home from 12 noon until service time at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be: Shaun Johnson, Jerome Johnson, Jimmy Sledge, Bronzie Johnson, James Estes and Lawrence Chiers. Honorary pallbearers are: Jackie Gilbert, Jeffery Shields, Christopher Addy, Patrick Jennigns, Willie Vaughn, Leslie Shields, Carl Gilbert, Robert Johnson, Jr. and Orlunda Holloway.
