Mildred Minton

Mrs. Mildred Minton, 86, of Hickman passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden, TN. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 13th at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Callison conducting the service. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery. Friends may call at Strong Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time. She was born on January 29, 1930 in Cayce, Kentucky to the late Gentry Claude Harris and Virgie (Sharp) Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Minton, brother, Leon Harris,and sisters, Anna Adams and Virginia Brinkley. Mrs. Minton was a member of the West Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Van Minton of Buffalo, NY and Gary Minton of Hickman, KY; daughter, Joni Brackett of South Fulton, TN; brothers, Charles Harris and Gentry Harris; sister, Brenda Curtsinger, grandsons, Blaze Minton, Scott Minton, Rick Cagle and Greg Cagle and 8 great grandchildren.
