Simon Andrew "Andy" Tennant

Simon “Andy” Andrew Tennant, 48 of Newbern, TN died on July 23, 2016 at Jackson-Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN. He was employed as a packer for Rough Country in Newbern, TN. Andy was a member of the First Christian Church in Dyersburg, TN and a member of the Dyer County Rescue Squad. Andy was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ross Tennant. Survivors include his wife, Stacey (McEvoy) Tennant of Newbern, TN, mother, Virginia (Nunnery) McMullin of Lake County, TN, sons, Daniel Tennant of Newbern, TN, Andrew Tennant , Alex Brown and Austin Brown, all of Dyersburg, TN, daughters, Kathryn Holcomb of Paris, TN and Kia Wallace of Dyersburg, TN, grandchildren, Jace Tennant and Ava Parr, several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman, KY on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Brian Grow officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. Friends may call at Strong Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 26th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until funeral time. Pallbearers will be: Daniel Tennant, Dallas Castleman, Tony Kbarra, Mike Goff, Larry Holland and Joe Ward. Honorary Pallbearers: Charles Harrison and Don Garner. The Dyer County Rescue Squad will serve as honorary guards.
