Norman Sutton, Jr.

Mr. Norman Sutton, Jr., 86, of Hickman, KY passed away at his residence on February 15, 2016. Funeral Services for Mr. Sutton will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Strong Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Gray will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. Friends may call at Strong Funeral Home on Thursday, February 18th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Friday from 9:00 until service time. Mr. Sutton was born in Marianna, AR on June 30, 1929 to the late Norman Sutton, Sr. and late Mattie (Terrett) Sutton, Sr. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the First Church of God in Union City, TN. Mr. Sutton farmed his own land in the lower bottom before retiring several years ago. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Sutton, brothers, Buster Sutton and Garland Sutton, sisters, Martha Pilgrim, Kathryn Sledge and Alice Sutton and grandchildren, Lavonda Bass and James Sutton. He is survived by his son, Norman Sutton, III of Waynesville, OH; daughters, Sandra Dyer of Highland, IL, Norma Lee of Troy, TN, Beverly Caldwell of Broken Arrow, OK, Emma Sutton Love of South Fulton, TN, and Joy Sutton of Hickman, KY; step-children, Jeffery Stewart, Rodney Stewart, Regenia Stewart and Rebecca Stewart; grandchildren, Jason Dyer, Timothy Jackson, Kim Ethridge, Lance Sutton, Allen Love, T.J. Bass, Norman Sutton, IV, Crystal Cain, Kenneth Love, Jeffery Caldwell , Daina Flowers, Joy Flowers and Casey Flowers and 13 great grandchildren.
