Thelma Rogers

Miss Thelma Rogers, 94, of Hickman, KY passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Union City Nursing & Rehab in Union City, TN. She was a member of the First United Methodist church in Hickman. Miss Thelma owned Rogers Beauty Shop, where she was a beautician from 1951 until she retired in 2005. Miss Rogers was born in Obion County, TN on November 9, 1921 to the late George Edward and Beulah May (Bradley) Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rubye Smithmier and Louise Rogers. She is survived by her sister, Sarah Rogers of Hickman and her nephews and cousins. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 30th at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Nancy Varden officiating. Burial will follow in the Rogers Family Cemetery in Obion County, TN. The family will receive visitors at Strong Funeral Home from 9:30 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 30, 2016.
