James H. "Bubba" Parker

James H. “Bubba” Parker, 80, of Hickman died at his home on August 29, 2015. Bubba was owner and operator of Parker Saw Mill for 30 years and of Baptist faith. He was born in Lake Co., TN on March 31, 1935 to the late Frank and Ruby (Copeland) Parker. In addition to his parents, Bubba was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Parker, Jr. and David Parker and sister, Mary Beth Adams. Bubba is survived by his sons: Greg (Jennifer) Parker of Memphis, TN, Jeff (Tammy) Yarber of Iuka, MS and Mike (Kelley) Parker of Vinita, OK; daughters: Tammy Parker and Pam (Andy) Branham, all of Memphis, TN, Laurie (John) Greenwell of Memphis, TN, Kim Miller (Kevin) of Union City, TN and Shannon Parker of Humboldt, TN, brothers: Jerry Parker of Memphis, TN and Terry Parker of Union City, TN; sisters: Patsy Weber of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Linda Roof of Paducah, KY 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and his special friend and companion, Denise Smith of Hickman. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Callison officiating. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 P.M. until service time at 4:00 P.M. at Strong Funeral Home.
